PDPA - why does massage establishment require your full NRIC?
Just a reminder to all customers that it is compulsory by law that all license massage establishment in Singapore (CAT1) have to get customers to fill up health declaration form (Casetrust Requirement) and full personal details such as full name and Identity card numbers or passport numbers for tourist (for license requirement) Without the details keyed in properly we are not allowed to serve the customers. βRule 14 of the Massage Establishments Rules 2018 under the Massage Establishments Act states that before providing any massage services to any individual seeking massage in an establishment for massage, the licensee of the establishment for massage must require the individual to furnish his or her identity card number or the particulars of his or her passport or other travel document. The licensee must enter the particulars in a register, and keep the records for at least a year.β
